So do you ever get tired of watching television and seeing people with power who should not have it? You see people in political settings, in work settings, in fame and fortune who use their pull seemingly for bad things. They are people who we don't think deserve to have that power, that fame or that fortune.
I for one am sick of seeing people say things and affect our young people in ways that shouldn't be just because they are famous, or have a microphone in front of them. They say things, they do things that show little or no morality and definitely no signs of knowing the Lord.
Sure we all know Romans 8:28 "For we know that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord." Sure, we know that those people doing these things probably don't know or love the Lord. We know that they are doing things that will work out for the good of us who do love the Lord, we just don't understand it.
I read the book the Shack which is a pretty good read once you get through some of the rough parts(especially as a dad). In this book they explain that if you ask why things happen, you are in affect playing the role of God. And no one has the right to do that for sure.
I find comfort in this verse when I see these "leaders" taking people in the wrong direction. Proverbs 16:2-4 "All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord. Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. The Lord works out everything for his own ends-- even the wicked for a day of disaster.
That is all I need to know of those who are leading people astray. That God works things out to His ends, and He is in full control.
So feel confident that God is in control, He is working it out no matter how bad it seems, and He is in full control.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
