One body

Last night we took our teenagers to another church's youth group. We went to Landmark Family CHurch on Masters Drive. What a great time!
Over the years I have attempted on many occasions to take our young people to other churches, invite other churches in and to have fellowship with other youth groups. But, last night was totally uninhibited. Last night was one of the first times I have ever watched our young people get completely involved in another group's activities. It was like one group.
Landmark was very inviting and included everyone in everything equally. The youth pastor John and myself were discussing things, and it is a shame that there is so much friction between groups. We're all trying to accomplish the same thing. We all want to see the exact same outcome in our young people, changed lives. We want to reach the lost, and equip the saved to reach the lost, the end.
It is my hope that last night was the beginning of a wonderful relationship that we are able to share with Landmark and its members. I hope that it leads to us building relationships with several other ministries in St. Johns County.
According to Paul in 1 Corinthians there is one body, but many parts. Within each church there is one body with many parts. All members unite to help the rest do their job. Well, in the big picture it's the same, there are many churches, but one body, each doing their part to increase the kingdom for God.
Thanks so much for reading and have a wonderful day!
